Couper le son
Supprimer la piste audio
À propos de cet outil
Remove the audio track from a video while keeping the video stream byte-for-byte intact. Common uses: silencing background chatter from a phone clip before sharing, prepping b-roll for a voice-over, or stripping copyright-claimed music from a memory video.
Because Privvert stream-copies the video (no re-encoding), the operation is essentially instant and there's zero quality loss. The output is the same file with the audio removed.
Fonctionnalités
- No re-encoding - instant export at original quality
- Strips all audio tracks (multi-track files become silent)
- Reads MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM and most other formats
- Output container matches the input where possible
- Browser-only - your video stays on your device
- Free and unlimited
- Optional fade-out on the very end so the silence doesn't cut hard
Comment l'utiliser
- Drop in your video.
- Click Mute.
- Download the silent video - usually within a second or two.

Questions fréquentes
Not in this tool - this is a binary 'remove audio' operation. For volume control, extract the audio, normalize or fade it, and re-merge in a video editor.
No. The video stream is copied byte-for-byte; only the audio track is removed.
All audio tracks are removed. The resulting file is silent.
Most video files are mostly video data - audio is typically 5-15% of total size. Removing audio shrinks the file by roughly that much.
The audio track is removed and the video is remuxed - the video stream itself is copied unchanged, so quality is preserved exactly. The operation is fast because no pixels are re-compressed.
Not in this tool. For partial muting, use the Audio Silence tool to silence regions of the soundtrack, then re-attach it to the video with a desktop editor.
