Browser Privacy Checker

Everything below is what any website can read about you the moment you land - no permission prompt, no cookie banner. Checked on your device, never sent to us.

Checking your browser…

À propos de cet outil

Every website you open can read dozens of details about your device without asking: your screen size, timezone, languages, graphics card, installed fonts and how your hardware draws text. None of these need a cookie or a permission prompt. Combined, they form a fingerprint that is often unique enough to follow you across sites, through private windows and after you clear your cookies.

This checker shows you exactly what that looks like for your browser, right now. Each signal comes with a plain-English risk rating and an explanation of why trackers care about it. At the top you get a combined fingerprint ID. Open this page in a private window, or after clearing cookies, and compare: if the ID is the same, so is the tracker's view of you.

Everything is computed locally in your browser. We do not log, store or send any of it. The one exception is the optional WebRTC leak test, which only runs when you click it, because it has to ask a public STUN server what your IP address is. That is exactly how a video-call site, or a tracker, would discover your real IP behind a leaky VPN.

Questions fréquentes

How do I reduce my fingerprint?

Use a browser with built-in fingerprinting protection. Firefox with Enhanced Tracking Protection set to Strict, Brave and the Tor Browser all randomize or standardize the strongest signals like canvas and WebGL. Avoid stacking lots of exotic extensions, since each one can make you stand out more.

Is it bad that Do Not Track is on?

Not harmful, but almost every site ignores it, and it adds one more bit to your fingerprint. Global Privacy Control is the one worth enabling: it carries legal weight under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws.

My WebRTC test shows an IP. Is that a leak?

Only if it is your real public IP while you are connected to a VPN. Addresses ending in .local are masked by your browser and harmless. If your home IP shows up behind a VPN, enable your VPN's WebRTC protection or disable WebRTC in your browser settings.

Do you store my fingerprint?

No. The values are calculated in your browser and disappear when you close the tab. The page makes no requests with this data. Read more in what your browser sends to every website.
