Über dieses Tool

Drop any image, type your top and bottom captions, and download the classic Impact-style meme as a PNG. The image is rendered in a canvas in your browser - no upload, no watermark, no signup, no "powered by" footer baked into the output.

Long captions wrap automatically, font scales to taste, and the white-on-black outline that defines the format is rendered with the same algorithm classic meme generators have used since the early 2010s. The result drops into Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, group chats, slide decks, presentations and forum posts without anyone being able to tell you didn't use a paid tool.

Because the whole thing runs locally, the source image never leaves your device - useful when the photo is of a colleague, a private joke, or just something you'd rather not have sitting on a generator's server forever. The output PNG is at the original image resolution, so it stays sharp wherever you paste it.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

Is the image uploaded?

No. The meme is composed locally in an HTML canvas. Nothing leaves your device - useful for memes that involve private screenshots or photos of friends and colleagues.

Why doesn't the font look exactly like Impact?

It tries Impact first and falls back to Arial Black if Impact isn't installed. macOS and Windows both ship Impact by default; some Linux distributions and Android browsers don't. Install Impact or the Liberation Sans Narrow Bold substitute for the closest classic look.

Can I add captions in the middle of the image?

Not in this tool - the layout is intentionally the classic top/bottom format. For arbitrary text placement use a full image editor or design tool.

Can I make a GIF meme?

If you drop a GIF the tool extracts the first frame, captions it, and exports a PNG. Animated meme support is a candidate for a future update.
