Frequently asked questions

Why does the layout look different from my e-reader?

EPUB is reflowable - every reader paginates text differently. The PDF freezes one specific pagination based on the page size you pick. There's no 'original' EPUB layout to match.

Will images and tables survive?

Yes - embedded images and tables are rendered into the PDF. Very wide tables may overflow the page; pick a wider page size if needed.

Can I export only specific chapters?

Currently the whole book is converted. Chapter selection is on the roadmap.

Is the PDF searchable?

Yes - text is rendered as real text, so the resulting PDF is fully searchable.

Will the result look like a printed book?

It will look like a paginated version of the ebook. Reflowable EPUBs don't have a fixed page layout, so the converter picks a reasonable font size and margins. Fixed-layout EPUBs (mostly children's books and comics) keep their original layout.

Are DRM-protected EPUBs supported?

No. The converter works on standard, unencrypted EPUB files. DRM removal is out of scope and not legal in most jurisdictions for books you don't own outright.
