Transparency and format limitations

GIF supports one-bit transparency, meaning a pixel is either transparent or opaque. Standard MP4 (H.264) does not preserve an alpha channel. If your GIF has a transparent background, the converted MP4 will likely show a solid background (usually black or white) instead.
